第一個(gè)事例是：新加坡是一個(gè)通用英語(yǔ)的國(guó)家，這個(gè)國(guó)家的公共場(chǎng)所的各種標(biāo)語(yǔ)大多是用英語(yǔ)書(shū)寫(xiě)。但其中的一些涉及文明禮貌的標(biāo)語(yǔ)，如“不準(zhǔn)隨地吐痰”、“禁止吸煙”、“不準(zhǔn)進(jìn)入草坪”等卻用中文書(shū)寫(xiě)。為什么呢?人家回答：因?yàn)橛羞@些不文明行為的大數(shù)是中國(guó)大陸的游客。為此，到新加坡考察的一位中學(xué)校長(zhǎng)語(yǔ)重心長(zhǎng)地說(shuō)：不文明行為也是國(guó)恥。
